The Nonprofit Salesforce Practitioners (NPSF) Google Group is an online/email forum of users, admins, developers and consultants using Salesforce.com in the nonprofit/education sector(s). A great first step before asking a question is searching the archives to see if it has been asked before. This is a great resource to search when you have questions.
This group is a forum for nonprofit Salesforce users to discuss challenges, share information, discuss new apps they are using, etc. Kevin Bromer, a NPSP Solutions Architect, is active in this group and provides helpful responses to questions. - Most major cities have a Salesforce user group, and many have user groups specifically for nonprofit users. These meetings are a great way to meet others who use Salesforce, and to share information and ideas.
The Salesforce Idea Exchange is a great way to make Salesforce platform feature requests, vote for ideas that you would like to see implemented, and see what might be coming in future Salesforce releases.
- The Salesforce Answers Community is similar in some respects to the Google Groups, but it is for all aspects of Salesforce functionality. There is a section in the community that is specific to Nonprofit organizations.
- There are many Salesforce-related groups on LinkedIn that have message boards. Some are specific to a local area, to nonprofits, or to certain types of Salesforce users (i.e. administrators). Try going to "My Groups" in your LinkedIn Account, and search for keywords like Salesforce, Nonprofit, NPSP, or the name of your city/area.
